Social Events Special Events Pitch at SPAA

SPAAmart

Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 November
Deadline: Applications close 27 August 2010, 5pm

SPAAmart is a selective entry market. Projects are chosen by the quality of submission. The key criteria for selection are projects that are well developed, distinctive, fresh and with the potential to be highly attractive to their intended audiences. Projects MUST be market ready, preferably with concerned attachments, and capable of leveraging finance through the Producer Offset.

Holding Redlich Pitching Competition

Wednesday 17 November 2010, Time TBC

This year two finalists will be selected from the SDA Pitching Session held at SPAA Fringe on 23 October at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. The SDA pitch offers the two winning pitches a $1,500 cash prize, one registration to SPAA Conference and the opportunity to pitch head to head in the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition.

The Holding Redlich Pitching Competition will be judged by a panel of international & local industry figures. The winner of the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition receives an airfare for one to Cannes Film Festival or a TV market in 2010/11 and a $1,500 cash prize plus free registration to SPAA 2011 Conference.

Ready Steady Pitch

Privately pitch your project to a network executive and receive feedback on your project. The objective of this event is to provide a non-competitive forum where producers/writers can pitch the freshest of ideas and receive feedback from industry professionals. There are no hoops, no prizes, no audience.

Kids Market

Meet one-on-one and discuss business with children’s industry executives in Licensing, Merchandising, Distribution, DVD and Consumer Products, Toy Companies, DVD and Consumer Products. Each executive will be taking 5 x 15 min meetings.

Bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis and can be made when you register. Once you have registered you can access your profile and update and change your bookings at any time.

This market is an opportunity for producers to meet those who are active in the 360 space and develop relationships with potential partners including broadcasters, digital content distributors, digital studios, telcos, government agencies and branded entertainment media agencies. Meet those who can assist with developing an efficient digital strategy and learn more about the requirements of broadcasters and digital distributors.
