Seven Ready Steady Pitch
Thursday 19 November, 3 - 4.15pm
Privately pitch your project to a network executive. This is a no mucking around arena of networking opportunity and face-to face time where you can share an idea and receive feedback on either your pitch or project. The objective of this event is to provide a non-competitive forum where producers/writers can pitch the freshest of ideas and receive feedback from industry professionals. There are no hoops, no prizes, no audience.

Holding Redlich Pitching Competition
Applications close: 11 September 2009, 5pm
One of the highlights of the SPAA conference is the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition. It gives producers and writers the opportunity to pitch any genre of project to an audience that includes international SPAAmart business executives, broadcasters and key local industry decision makers.
The winner of the Competition receives an airfare for one to Cannes Film Festival or a TV market in 2010 and a $2,000 cash prize plus free registration to SPAA 2010 Conference.

SPAAmart

SPAAmart 09 will take place at The Westin, Sydney for 2 days from 18 to 19 November 2009.
SPAAmart is a selective entry market. Project are chosenby the quality of submission. The key criteria for selection are projects that are well developed, distinctive, fresh and with the potential to be highly attractive to their intended audiences. Projects MUST be market ready, preferably with serious attachments, and capable of leveraging finance through the Producer Offset.

ABC3 Get Your Game On!
Applications close 5th October 2009
ABC Children’s Television is searching for the next big thing in kids game shows to be aired on ABC3, the new digital free-to-air children’s TV channel.
Aimed at an 8-12 year old audience, the winning pitch will be an Australian concept with the potential for kids to play online as well as watch on-air.
The winner receives a $5000 cash prize with further development funding and a pilot deal open for discussion. All finalists are eligible to attend the SPAA Conference at the approved discount rate of $770.
